Embodied Bali is a carefully curated immersive journey through movement, culture, ritual, nature and human connection for conscious travelers, seekers, creatives and dancers of life.
Created to move beyond just another retreat or tourist itinerary, this immersion invites you to experience Ubud not only through places , but through different states of being - through embodiment, artistic expression, authentic cultural encounters and authentic presence.
As long-term movement practitioners, facilitators and lovers of Bali, we invite you to not simply visit, but to enter it - through the body, the senses, atmosphere and awareness.
✨ Small Group Immersion 11-18 September 2026
✨ Private & Couples Personalized Immersion (available upon request)
For more than a decade, we have returned to Bali again and again — not as tourists, but through movement, artistic collaborations, cultural encounters, workshops, performances and lived experience.
We have danced here.
Created here.
Facilitated here.
Lived here.
Again and again, we found ourselves deeply touched by the particular energy of Ubud — a place where spirituality, art, ritual and daily life still naturally intertwine.
Over time, one realization became clearer:
In Bali, dance is not merely performance.
It is devotion.
Meditation.
Prayer.
Purification.
One Balinese teacher once shared:
“Dancers in Bali don’t need water temples for purification.
They cleanse their energy with their own sweat.”
Those words gave language to something we had always intuitively knew:
That movement itself can heal.
That expression can become a ritual.
That through breath, presence, devotion and the intelligence of the body, experience can transform into something sacred.
And from that understanding, Embodied Bali was born.
⭐ “Meaningful Density of Time”
“So many different moments of tenderness… How much life can we fill into a limited time? The words for this Dance Journey would be: meaningful density of time.” — Ziya Azazi, Turkey / artists & facilitator of Slovenia Dance Journey
Many people arrive in Bali exhausted, overstimulated, disconnected from their bodies, creativity, emotions or inner vitality.
Embodied Bali invites a different rhythm.
A rhythm where:
the nervous system softens,
the senses awaken,
creativity begins moving again,
and life becomes something you feel more deeply — not something you rush through.
Through movement, ritual, artistic experiences, nature immersion and authentic cultural encounters, many participants rediscover:
vitality,
inspiration,
connection,
emotional clarity,
and a renewed relationship with themselves.
This is not transformation through force.
It is transformation through presence.
⭐ “I Re-Remembered My Love for Dancing”
“My perspective changed. I re-remembered my love for dancing. Coming back home, I reflected deeply on how we structure our lives and what truly makes sense. I believe society deeply needs people who bring us back to basics.” — Hilde I. Sandvold, Norway / participant of Slovenia Dance Journey
This immersion may be especially supportive for people who:
long for authentic experiences beyond tourism
feel disconnected from their body, creativity or vitality
seek meaningful connection and inner transformation
love movement, embodiment or conscious dance
feel drawn toward Bali’s spiritual and artistic culture
are curious about ritual, creativity and self-expression
value atmosphere, beauty and intentional curation
want to experience Bali through the body, not only the mind
You may be:
a conscious traveler
a seeker
a creator
an explorer
a dancer of life
No dance background is required.
Only openness.
⭐ “Changed Through Connection”
“We little cells of a bigger organism touched and shared with each other in some moments in time. We departed, but we were changed — carrying new qualities through connection.” — Boris Magdalenc, Slovenia / musician at Slovenia Dance Journey
Embodied Bali is not built around consuming experiences.
It is designed around embodiment.
Instead of rushing from location to location, from workshop to workshop, we move through carefully selected spaces, practices and encounters that gradually open deeper layers of sensation, awareness, receptivity and presence within you.
As your senses become more attuned and your body more receptive, Bali begins revealing itself differently.
Not only as a destination to explore outwardly, but as a living environment that begins resonating with your inner world.
The landscapes. The ceremonies. The sounds. The movement. The atmosphere.
They no longer remain “outside” of you.
They begin moving through you.
Every element of this immersion is intentionally chosen.
From movement temples to hidden gardens.
From ceremonial spaces to raw natural landscapes.
From cultural encounters to moments of stillness and intensity.
Not to entertain you.
But to move something within you.
⭐ “Creativity, Nature, Spirit & Human Connection”
“It was a precious time that brought lots of inspiration for the future — how visionary experiences can connect creativity, art, nature, spirit and people willing to feel deeper and live deeper.” — Romana Ercegović, Slovenia / participant of Slovenia Dance Journey
This journey is deeply expressive — yet deeply introspective.
At times playful and joyful.
At times cathartic and confronting.
Movement here becomes more than exploration or release.
It becomes a doorway into meditation, ritual, transformation, connection and embodied awareness.
Traditional Balinese influences intertwine with contemporary movement practices, improvisation, archetypal work, breath, somatic awareness and free expression.
You will not be forced to memorize choreography, perfect techniques or perform or be thrown into chaotic self-expression without guidance.
Instead, we create a carefully held environment — one that offers both freedom and grounding, both openness and meaning.
A space where the body remembers its own intelligence.
⭐ “Movement Reached a Higher Spectrum”
“After more than 20 years of dancing, my understanding of the word movement reached a higher spectrum. Music and dance became a pure family.” — Arya O’Sulli Gonzales, Norway / participant of Slovenia Dance Journey
Depending on the specific edition and curation of the immersion, experiences may include:
✨ Dance Alchemy embodiment sessions
✨ Archetypal embodiment explorations
✨ Yoga & breath-based practices
✨ Ecstatic dance experiences
✨ Sound healing & integration journeys
✨ Authentic encounters with Balinese dance traditions
✨ Spiritual experiences rooted in authenticity rather than performance
✨ Carefully selected rituals and ceremonies
✨ Nature immersion and elemental journeys
✨ Volcano sunrise experiences
✨ Sauna, fire & purification rituals
✨ Curated culinary experiences
✨ Authentic artistic performances
✨ Spacious moments for reflection, creativity and integration
Each immersion evolves organically and may differ slightly depending on timing, local collaborations and the unique energy of the group.
🌿 Goran Bogdanovski — Dance Alchemy
Goran’s work bridges: dance improvisation, somatic practices, masculine embodiment, contact improvisation, martial arts, embodied leadership, meditation.
His facilitation invites participants into freedom of expression, creativity, presence and deep connection with the body.
Accessible for both dancers and non-dancers
.🌙 Sandra Anais — Archetypal Embodiment
Sandra’s work weaves together: archetypal psychology, movement, contemporary dance, feminine embodiment, experiential inner work, creative expression, reflection.
Her facilitation opens subtle spaces for self-discovery, emotional integration and meaning-making through embodied experience.
Accessible for both dancers and non-dancers.
We are Sandra Anais and Goran Bogdanovski — partners in life, movement and transformational work.
Between 2013–2015, we created and facilitated a series of Dance Journeys across Slovenia, Croatia and Bali. They were never simply retreats, workshops or organized travel experiences, but living spaces where movement, nature, culture, creativity and human connection merged into something deeply alive.
People did not only visit places, but moved, felt and connected through them.
Again and again, we witnessed how carefully chosen environments, meaningful encounters and embodied experiences could open unexpected spaces of connection, presence, creativity and transformation — especially in Bali.
Over time, the island became much more than a destination for us. It became a home and a place of artistic inspiration, renewal, ritual, beauty and deep remembering.
Embodied Bali was born from that relationship.
Not as tourism.
Not as a retreat formula.
Through the years, our work has continued to evolve through dance, facilitation, archetypal and alchemy work, artistic projects, retreats and the lived experience of navigating transformation, family life and creativity together.
At the heart of it all remains the same intention:
To create experiences that help people feel more alive, more present, more connected and more deeply embodied within themselves and the world around them.
⭐ “Trusting the Flow”
“I loved the combination of Sandra and Goran leading the Journey. There was balance, harmony and trust in the flow. I felt deeply attached to the experience in ways that surprised me.” — Bruno Caverna, Brazil / facilitator of Slovenia Dance Journey

Because of its location, encounters with the local monkeys are part of the living environment and can feel playful, surprising, exciting and, at times, a little intense.

Transportation will be organized when needed, including local drivers and car transport, so participants can move between locations with ease.
